Traditionally, it was thought that Heine's wife's name was Eva Hershey. This is what M. G. Weaver used in the book. Personally, I could find nothing on this Eva Hershey. Speaking about this Eva Hershey, the Wenger book states on p. 167 "There has been no documentary substance for this conclusion, but the documentary evidence that Henry Weaver's wife was Eve Wenger is conclusive to the point of complete certainty."

Her father was Christian Wenger b. 1 May 1698 and d. 9 February 1772.

Her mother was Eva Grabiel d. 1790
