Weaver gives death date as 20-May-1803. At the time of her father's death in 1752, Frena was a minor. Her birthdate may be as late as 1740 and it is quite possible that she was the only Siegrist child Anna had, assuming that Fayette Eshelman was correct when he state: Anna was Michael's second wife.

Veronica is Michael's only child who was born in America unless there was a seventh child John. Furthermore we are not absolutely certain that the Veronica who married Hans Weber is the Veronica who was Michael's daughter. The time frame, the use of the names Frena and Fanny for both women and the fact we can find no other person filling both niches makes us feel that they are the same person. The major reason for the doubting this is how far east East Earl Township is from Hempfield Township.

Then I found the Harman web site "www.harmanfamilytree.us" that claims her name was Zelma Thomas. Some family members confirmed that indeed her name was Zelma and not Alma. On June 25, 1930, he was married to Katie Horst, who survives. Also surviving are 2 daughters (LaVerne Root and Geraldine Heisey), 2 sons (John and Donald), and 4 sisters (Mabel Hess, Susan John, Amanda, and Fannie Denlinger). He was a member of Paradise Mennonite Church. Funeral services were held at Landis Homes Chapel West on Dec. 22, in charge of Donald Good, Clair Eby, and John B. Shenk; interment in E.
