God of New Beginnings: We thank you for Lilacs, Dogwoods, and Azaleas. We thank you for new life. We thank you for little babies. We thank you that as we pass through the waters you are there to buoy us up and to bring us safely to a secure haven. Even when tragedy strikes, you find ways to turn loss and death into new birth. As the chill of winter gives way to warm breezes, bring each of us into a new relationship with you and with each other.
Help us to spread the good news of hope to those who do not know the warm glow of your love. May each of us be an instrument of your peace in your church and in the larger world. There are those who are experiencing pain, illness, loss, and anxiety. Remind them that the rock of their faith is still there and that the anchor is secure. Amen.
