A Message of Peace
God of the Advent, we bow to your majesty. You created this universe in all its vastness yet humbled yourself and became one of us. You reached down to us and raised us up to become brothers and sisters of your son, Jesus. How great is your love and mercy! It has a depth that we cannot fathom, goes beyond the farthermost reaches of space, yet flows continuously into our hearts.

We thank you for those miracles that come to us when we least expect them. You have given us a hope that the world does not know. Teach us how we might best serve you and each other. We know that there are many who have special needs this Christmas season. Bring healing and renewed hope to those who are ill and discouraged.

Come quickly, then, Lord Jesus. This world is in desperate need of your presence. Praise God, the victory is assured. Amen.
