Biography of Jay D. Weaver

Mr. Weaver is Professor Emeritus of Mathematics at Millersville University, Millersville, Pa. He retired there in 1988. He also taught at West Reading High School and Warwick High School. He was born on April 20, 1933 in Ephrata Township. He is married to Mary N. Musser. They reside at 44 Black Oak Drive, Lancaster, PA 17602-3463. Their two children are Ellen S. Weaver, Columbia, Pa. and James E. Weaver married to Sherry Rittenhouse, Willow Street, Pa. He holds membership in the Lancaster Mennonite Historical Society, and the American Association of Retired Persons.

Jay grew up in the Ephrata Mennonite Church and became a member there in 1947. He is now a member of the Lancaster Church of the Brethren, Lancaster, Pa. and holds an affiliate membership at Trinity Presbyterian Church in Venice, Florida where he and his wife spend their winters. His hobbies include singing, hymn writing, computing, and genealogy. He became interested in this project upon finding these letters and photographs among his father's papers upon his death in 1991.
