He was beheaded for his faith. He was the last Anabaptist martyr in Zurich.The
account of his martyrdom can be found in the book Martyr's Mirror written by
Thielman J. van Braght in 1660.
Hans and his family are believed to lived at Untere Seiten in Hirzel, Canton
Zurich, Switzerland.
Church police in Horgenburg came and arrested Hans and Heinrich Landis on 16
September 1608. The Burgermeiseter and Sheriff carried out the task of beheading
him in Zurich with a sword.
