	iii.	Hans MYER was born about 1680.211 He died about 1748 in Upper Salford Twp, Montgomery Co, PA.224 Known as "der alt bruder". Baptized by Peter Becker in the Pequea Creek. On Nov. 15, 1724 he was instrumental in electing Conrad Beissel as leader; in July 1740 was one of 4 housefathers who "went away". This is in reference to the Ephrata Cloister. His daughter Barbara was known as "Sister Jael". His son Lawrence Myer married Anna Margaret Janson who in 1759 married Philip Sprecher. Their youngest son Wendel Myer was hanged on May 16, 1755 for stealing horses for the British. A member of New Holland Lutheran Church.
