720. Joseph? HORSCH died in 1731.¹⁶⁹ sradition says he died at sea on the "Britannia" during the tedious voyage.
Tradition has failed to record his name.
Jane Best gives his name as Joseph The Groff Book.
Her source is Mrs. Roy Shearer, MRJ, October 1975:39-40. This could be due
to the long-time confusion between the rich and poor Horsts.
He is certainly not the father of poor Jacob Horst.

721. Barbara \UNKNOWN\ was born in 1681.²⁵⁶ She died after 1771.²⁵⁶ This family became known as the rich Horsts.

In an email dated April 2, 2002 Charles Smith II told me that her maiden name was Schenk. he gave me no further informationI don't know if this is correct or not. Children were:

	i.	Michael HORST was born in 1713.179 He died in 1772.179 Settled in Lebanon Co, PA.
252	ii.	Joseph HORST.
	iii.	Peter HORSCH was born in 1729.179 He died in 1795.179 Moved to Newberry Twp, York Co, Pa. Descendants adopted the Hursh spelling. Many descendants moved to mid-western and far-western states.
