672. Francis BUCKWALTER was born in 1665 in Switzerland.^122,123 He died in 1723.¹²² Our progenator, Francis Buckwalter came here in 1719 and was the first settler
on a tract of land known as the Manavon Tract, around 25 miles north of Phila-
delphia which he bought (625 acres) for 195 Pounds. The city of Phoenixville
is now located there. Private corporations developed the new country and the
king would grant them charters or patents to the land. - Buckwalter, Earl Eby

Judy Siegrist, PMH, page 36 has his wife's name as Anna or Mary Mellinger.
