Isaiah 49:6 he says, "It is too light a thing that you should be my servant to raise up the tribes of Jacob and to restore the survivors of Israel; I will give you as a light to the nations, that my salvation may reach to the end of the earth."

Jesus was to be a light to all the world, not just to Israel. In turn, Jesus said to his disciples. "You are the light of the World."

It is important that we deal with each other tenderly. How easy it is to hurt others by carelessness.

The servant provides healing to the people through his own suffering.

Our role is also one of serving others. That is the lesson Jesus taught when he washed the disciples feet.
