Advent Devotional Guide 1998

Thank you for agreeing to contribute to the spiritual enrichment of the ______________ Church by writing your personal reflections for an Advent Devotional Guide. In order to facilitate your work, we offer the following simple guidelines:
- We ask you to have your reflection flow from or be connected to the text. The "Theme" column contains one person's ideas but you may certainly be free to create your own theme and ignore that column. You might also read the context of the scripture. As a last resort, call _______________ for help in interpretation of the theme.
- Please use only your original material. For one reason, we don't want to get into legal trouble over copyright infringements. For another, we are eager to tap that inner resource which spiritually strengthens you from within.
- Keep your reflections to 200 words. Refined thoughts may reach others better than too many words. Also, we need to keep to this standard so that each reflection will fit on one page. If you use more than 200 words, it will be necessary for the committee to edit your offering.
- Please grant us permission to edit your work. We will not make any major changes unless we discuss it with you first, but there may be occasion to make slight alterations.
- If you would like to make part or all of your reflection in the form of a prayer, feel free to do so. However, that must stay within the length guidelines.
