Surely the Secretary of Defense must have foreseen the chaos and looting taking place since the fall of the government in Iraq. Not only government buildings, but also hospitals are being stripped bare. Yet the Secretary says this whole problem is being overblown by the media. Where was the planning on all this?
Some sort of police force must be established immediately. The "coalition" is responsible for doing this. We made the mess. It is our responsibility for controlling the situation.
Even more disturbing are the reports on the planning being made for the interim government. Rumsfeld, Cheney, and company are in love with Ahmed Chalabi, a man who was convicted of embezzlement and sentenced to 22 years in prison in Jordan, but he escaped.
Meanwhile Rumsfeld and Wolfowitz are hoping to install Jay Garner as our representative to the interim government. Garner is a Zionist, and has connections to the international arms trade. Won't the Iraqi's love him?
The other member of the ruling triumvirate is to be James Woolsey who said last week that Iraq is the beginning of World War IV. Man, this is getting more and more scary.
It is high time that the state department take on the military industrial complex that is running this whole shebang. Where is Congress? How much deeper must we get into this mess before Congress gets its voice back?
Where are the Democrats? Now that the fighting phase is almost over, they have no excuse for holding back in their criticism of this administration. Bush has become a loose cannon. He cannot be allowed to continue in the path that he and his Defense Policy Board cohorts are leading us.
Finally, where are the American people? Of course we are concerned about the safety of our military force, but we should also be concerned about the future of our country and its role in the world. We will lose the respect of all the free world if we don't begin to meet our responsibilities in this unstable planet.
