Chapter 25

312 SOUTH TENTH STREET

Home at 312 S. 10th St.
312 S. 10th St., Akron, PA
In this house we lived one year and one day. Two weeks after we moved I started another "spec" house on the lot next north. This was finished by the end of the year and I sold it to Mr. and Mrs. A. S. Mull on January 12th, 1954.

After the Mull house was finished I bought, on February 19th, 1954, two more lots from Mr. Oberholtzer on the same side of South Tenth between our home and Eshleman Drive.

Two weeks later we sold our house to Mr. and Mrs. Ronald Frisbee. That gave us about four months to build, for ourselves, a new house on the lot at the corner of South Tenth and Eshleman Drive. We moved south on July 23rd, 1954; one year and one day after we had moved in. There will be more new NESTS.

During the winter, as Ada and I were leaving to visit Arvilla at Goshen College in Indiana, it began to snow as we left Akron. When we came home a few days later we found that we had missed one of the major blizzards of Lancaster County.

On March 30th, 1954 w bought a new chest-type Frigidaire freezer for $300.00.
